Dr. Daniel Choi VLOGs his experience serving as a delegate of the 2018 Medical State Society of New York House of Delegates. This was a chance to learn more about organized medicine and how physicians can work together to speak out about to defend their patients and profession.
The House of Delegates took place from March 22nd through March 25, 2018 at The Adams Mark Hotel in Buffalo, New York. Policy and organizational direction for the Society are determined by 330 voting delegates to the Annual Meeting of the Medical Society of the State of New York. It is through this process that the membership governs the policy and administration of the Medical Society.
Represented at the Annual House of Delegates are sixty county medical societies of NY, New York State medical specialty societies, medical and osteopathic schools, district branches and the special sections of the Medical Society membership (i.e. young physicians, resident physicians, medical students). The elected leadership of MSSNY also attends the House of Delegates as voting members.
