1. Great energy or forcefulness.
2. A festive drink made of numerous, often eclectic ingredients.
3. A fictional character, given to mayhem and anarchy.
Jim Coyle is a composer whose music is sometimes serious, but not today.
Drawing on Elgar and Sousa (whose connection is obvious when you think about it – they both had outstanding facial hair), Punch is a good representation of Jim’s less serious music. When he is not having fun composing music, Jim has fun lecturing at Sydney Conservatorium."
