In this episode we begin the repair process of the 2018 Hyundai Elantra crash damage with removing and replacing the inner and outer tie rods. The process is relatively strait forward with the only real issue of getting the correct removal tool.
I used a variety of hand tools, a 3lb hammer and a clamp style tie rod tool available at most auto parts stores as well as Amazon and other online retailers.
I would rate this job as an intermediate level DIY project and remind anyone doing this job that a complete wheel alignment afterward is an absolute must do.
