L’ERESIA CATARA - Le Eresie Dualistiche e il problema del Male

La storia delle credenze e delle Eresie Dualistiche è molto antica. Secondo alcune interpretazioni di tipo storico, il Dualismo religioso sembra sia nato per dare una spiegazione comprensibile al Problema del Male. Le religioni, sia quelle che vedono la realtà fondante del mondo nell’azione degli Dei delle religioni politeistiche, oppure di un unico Dio creatore di ogni cosa, si sono dovute confrontare con molte difficoltà e riflessioni intorno all’esistenza del male. Se Dio è unico, se è lui stesso il Creatore del Mondo, se inoltre è onnipotente e onniveggente, perché ha permesso l’esistenza del male? Forse che anche questo Dio unico può essere Egli stesso pervaso da una parte di malvagità? Questa è una delle domande più scomode che ne possono scaturire.
Molti filosofi e pensatori si sono confrontati con questo problema. Alcuni profeti e filosofi hanno scelto di dare una soluzione dualistica a questo interrogativo, immaginando la presenza due divinità di forza uguale e contraria in competizione tra loro. Per altri invece, sarebbe stato preferibile concepire un Dio onnipotente e infinitamente buono, un Dio che costituisce la realtà spirituale più importante e che avrebbe finito con il prevalere su ogni malvagità.

THE CATHAR HERESY – The Dualistic Heresies and the Problem of Evil

The history of Dualistic beliefs and heresies is very ancient. According to some historical interpretations, religious Dualism seems to have originated in order to provide an understandable explanation for the Problem of Evil. Religions, whether those that see the foundational reality of the world in the action of the Gods of polytheistic religions, or of a single God creator of all things, have been confronted with many difficulties and reflections around the existence of evil. If God is unique, if he himself is the Creator of the World, if moreover he is all-powerful and all-seeing, why has he allowed evil to exist? Could it be that even this unique God may himself be pervaded by a portion of evil? This is one of the most uncomfortable questions that can arise.
Many philosophers and thinkers have grappled with this problem. Some prophets and philosophers have chosen to give a dualistic solution to this question, imagining the presence of two competing gods of equal and opposite strength. For others, on the other hand, it would have been preferable to conceive of an all-powerful and infinitely good God, a God who constitutes the most important spiritual reality and who would eventually prevail over all wickedness.
