The Los Lobos Challenge at Wyandotte County Lake Park pushed me harder than expected. With a nagging ankle slowing me down, I had to dig deep to keep moving forward. But despite the struggles, I managed to finish 21 miles and rack up nearly 5,000 feet of elevation gain on some of the toughest trails Kansas has to offer.
This race is no joke—rolling terrain, steep climbs, and relentless elevation make every mile count. Even on a rough day, the challenge, the trail community, and the satisfaction of pushing through made it all worth it.
