For a new project I need a Master-Ring-Gauge with a diameter of 68mm. I bought an old one on ebay with a smaller diameter of 66.4mm. My idea was to increase the diameter to 68mm.
But how to check a bore without a reference to set up the bore gauge?
In the end of the video I show you my method to set up a bore gauge.. I know that there is a Gauge-Block-Set from Mitutoyo which works on a similar principle, but this is very expensive. So try my method and let me know in the comments, if it works for you too.
