I've been wanting to test the Pinion gearbox so join me for a full day testing the Pinion MGU while riding the 2026 Haibike All Mountain "ALLMTN CF 11 TRN/IQ" — a gear/belt-driven Pinion MGU gearbox eBike / eMTB experience!
This fantastic ride features the Pinion MGU E1.12 with 12 ratios and 85Nm torque, powered by a 48V 800Wh battery. It’s equipped with a Gates carbon belt, a 160mm full suspension, and a top-tier setup.

Ride Details & Personal Impressions:

Colour: Rose Gold (also called Rock/Carbon/Orange — Glossy finish)
Weight: 24.5kg — lighter than expected!
Front Suspension: Zeb Ultimate, very capable
Rear Suspension: RockShox Debonair Deluxe Ultimate RC2T, worked really well
Tyres: Continental Kryptotal Soft — a bit disappointing on camber and corners
Brakes: Magura MT5 (203mm) — not quite up to expectations
Cranks: 165mm (would prefer 155mm)
Geometry: 64° head angle — large was a good fit for me, but a medium is my usual sizing.
