Vianney Halter Watchmaking Workshop Part Three

On the 3rd October 2019 I had the pleasure of going down the rabbit hole to Vianney Halter's watchmaking world for a day. It was truly an amazing experience that I will never forget. I had a camera with me, so I hope you enjoy this as much as I did. I captured some of my holy grail machines, the Hauser M1 jig borer.

I'm breaking down the visit to Vianney's Watchmaking Workshop into parts which are going to be released weekly.
This is part three, where Vianney talks about some of the machines in this workshop and their uses. It is truly amazing to see the machines that were used to create the Vianney Halter watches we all love, the from the Antiqua, Classic, Classic Janvier and the Deep Space Tourbillon.
We see Vianney’s own work benches where the magic happens for the final assembly of the watches. Also, his own polishing bench, which he separates from the watch assembly area.

Vianney in my opinion is the greatest independent watchmaker in the world. With his creations truly unique, like the Antiqua, Classic Janvier, Trio and the most current Deep Space Tourbillon. I discovered watchmaking through him and fell in love with this craft, which set me down my own watchmaking journey.
