This is an ANSYS tutorial that shows the fundamentals to run an analysis on a robotic finger/ Robotic hand. Two designs are considered : The first one is a finger design with four links which are actuated by a puling cable or tendon , and the second one is a parallelogram arrangement concept that actuates the finger with the interaction of levers.
The Video describes the typical steps to follow, and the challenges that are seen when dealing with large deformations and contact elements in ANSYS .
The materials utilised here are basic. For a more realistic approach on the tendon you might want to consider hyper-elasticity Neo-Hookean or a lower order Mooney-Rivlin function.
