Willow the Musical (TW: Blood, Violence, Trauma)

This AU revolves around one key event: what if Eda was never cursed?
What if she was able to finish school, stay with Raine, and maintain a relationship with her sister? With all of her magic and a group of friends she could trust, she was able to defeat the Emperor a whole decade earlier. Eda never found the portal to the Human Realm, but it didn't matter to her, she had a wonderful life, a partner she loves, an adopted son she adores, and a community she cares for. She decided to become a coach at Hexside to make sure the school wasn't turning bright students into bland mush, where she met Willow. She had been bullied most of her life for being a late developer when it came to magic, her self esteem had gotten so low that she was required to take weekly counseling sessions with Eda. Especially now that Willow's pent up emotions are starting to cause some alarming magical outbursts. One such outburst is observed by Eda's adoptive nephew, Hunter, a new student at Hexside that tends to hang around the very people that bully Willow.
Hunter is fascinated by this girl and has an inexplicable desire to get to know her. A desire encouraged by his pretend "girlfriend", Amity. She had been going along with her friends' bullying for years, all the while feeling guilty for mistreating someone she used to call her best friend. She sees Hunter as a way to make up for some of what she's done. With Grom coming up, Amity asks Hunter to take Willow, which he protests to at first, not wanting to draw any attention to himself or Willow, but eventually agrees. Unfortunately, this is exactly what Willow's fiercest enemy, Boscha, wants. After being humiliated because of Willow, she wants revenge, and she has something truly vile planned for Willow.
