The network of museums and visitor centers of Panama celebrates 16 years of having been formed and 8 years of having united the national museum
sector, both public and private, since the first congress of museums in the country in 2016. In these 16 years, the network has worked both in the
field of professionalization and exchanges between museums, as well as at the level of public policies. We will discuss the current and future role of the
network in the museum sector, answering questions related to how the network helps build the future of museums and the heritage sector, who is included now and who should be, and the role that members should play in the network.
