1955 Jaguar D-Type Racing At Le Mans (Amazing & Rough Sound)

This is the legendary Jaguar D-Type, a descendant of the dominant LM-Prototypes Jaguar built in the late 1940s, early 1950s. The cars that preceeded this dominant machine were the XK-models and the C-Type. All of them were pretty much the kings of their era.

Not only did they drive well, they were extremely beautiful as you can see in this video! What you can as well is how nice it is to look at a D-Type being pushed on track. We, at HistoricRacingHD, think that this might be one of the most enjoyable videos in terms of really watching it instead of just enjoying the sound that comes with it.

So seeing this car racing on a legendary track like Le Mans is just an experience on its own. We were standing at Mulsanne, and in the beginning of a session it's always quiet until the cars arrive at the part of the circuit where you are standing. Nevertheless you can hear them coming long before they actually pass you. These cars were no different. We could hear them coming from Hunaudières and already got excited. The first few cars flew around the corner and of course a few D-Types were in the top ten, one of them pretty much just drifted through the entire corner. Which is what we are talking about when we say the D-Type is amazing on every single level.
