Step-by-Step Rose Nail Art Demo (Hand-Painted Flowers)
Welcome back, nail fam! Today we’re painting elegant roses—clean lines, soft petals, and a glossy, salon-ready finish. This demo is beginner-friendly yet polished enough for clients and content. Step-by-step (save this!)

Prep & base – Shape, push back cuticles, refine surface, cleanse. Apply base color (cure).

Map the bloom – With diluted mid-tone, sketch a small off-center oval (the bud) and loose guides for outer petals.

First petals – Using sheer tone, paint 3–4 small C-strokes around the bud. Keep strokes thin; cure 5–10s if using gel paint.

Build volume – Add mid-tone petals, slightly larger and overlapping. Leave micro-gaps for depth. Flash cure.

Define & curl – With deeper tone, add inner shadows (petal bases + overlaps). Blend edges with a nearly dry brush.

Highlights – With the lightest shade, trace selective petal rims & tiny folds. Don’t outline everything—contrast = realism.

Leaves & stems – Mix green + a touch of base color for harmony. Paint slim stems, two leaves, add a single vein.

Balance & spacing – Add a tiny bud or half-rose near the corner for flow. Less is more.

Seal – Top coat. Gloss = glassy floral; matte = editorial chic.

Nourish – Cleanse, then massage Cuccio Cuticle Oil into the nail folds for that pro finish.

Keep petals thin & translucent first; thickness comes from layers, not one heavy swipe.
