Welcome to Trappers Keep

If you are watching this video, then it is just about time for your stay at our beautiful cabin in Island Park, Idaho

We are excited to have you and want you and your family to have a safe and amazing time here. Our intention is to earn your five star review at the end of your stay so you will come back again and again.

We have a few things we think are important for you to know before your arrival.

First is getting here. As you turn onto Tomahawk Dr, Trappers keep is the first property to your right. Turn onto the property by going up a small, short driveway.

Here you will see there is ample free parking for multiple vehicles. Please, make sure to park on the property and not on Tomahawk dr itself.

Next you will notice that there are security cameras on all three doors of the cabin. These cameras are shut off once you check into the cabin. If you would like them kept on during your stay for some extra comfort of security, let us know via text when you arrive.

Unlocking the door is easy. Simply enter the four digit code provided to you just prior to your arrival.

If you have any trouble with the keypad, please call immediately and we will give you access to the physical key located in the lock box to the right of the porch.

To lock the door when you leave, simply press the lock button and you will hear the deadbolt engage.

Once you enter the cabin, please accept a gift of a few snacks and refreshment drinks. Also, feel free to browse the welcome book and cabin rules along with the Wifi login information.

Next, for your safety, there are three fire extinguishers located in the kitchen by the sink, in the den by the fireplace, and in the back bedroom by the laundry.

There are also smoke and carbon monoxide detectors located throughout the house.

In an effort to keep the little ones safe, please wrap all blind stings on the boat hook provided while open.

And if you have sleep walkers, make sure to use the chain door locks when you go to bed.

Each room has one or more heaters. Adjust the temperature to your liking. We find that setting them at about 65 is a good place to start.

On the wall opposite of the front door is the thermostat. This is used to control the fireplace. The fireplace will kick on and off as the thermostat prompts.

Occasionally, the gas valve will stick. You can quickly fix this by opening the access panel at the bottom of the fireplace and cycle the switch by turning to full time flame and then back to the thermostat setting. You can also use this to turn the fireplace on full time, bypassing the thermostat.

Trappers Keep is on a septic system. Please follow the rules for Septic systems noted on the signs posted throughout the cabin.

To use the TV, turn on the power button, choose apps and find the app called TV. You are welcome to use our free Youtube TV or login to you personal streaming services.

There is an additional TV in the double queen room with an xbox for gaming. Feel free to us our account or your own. The login code for ours is xxxxxxx.

Next, please enjoy our complimentary coffee and tea. You can use the kcups by pressing the top button and the amount you wish to dispense. For a pot, use the cups button and choose your quantity.

Laundry, A highchair, pack & play, ironing board and vacuum cleaner are located in the back room closet. Feel free to play us a song on the guitar.

Outside you will find a children's zipline. The zipline is locked and a release form must be signed and sent to Eric or Michele prior to receiving the combination that unlocks the ride.

For trash, please use the receptacle on the East side of the cabin and to ensure Bear Safety, lock all three hasp every single time you place trash in the can.

And finally, don’t miss out on a magical evening. Make sure to plug in the lights and enjoy the enchanted forest just outside your windows.

Remember, check in is anytime after 3:00pm on the day of your scheduled arrival and check out is 11:00am. Please contact us if this needs to change.
