Mozart's Piano Sonata No. 16 in C major is often referred to as "Sonata facile" (easy sonata) or "Sonata semplice" (simple sonata) due to its relatively straightforward technical demands.

Composed in 1788 during Mozart's Vienna period, this charming three-movement work showcases the composer's elegant melodic sensibility and structural clarity. These qualities have made it a staple in piano repertoire for both students and professional performers alike. The first movement, Allegro, is by far the most famous of the three.
