ABOUT TANYA AGUINIGA
Tanya Aguiñiga founded Art Made Between Opposite Sides (AMBOS), a femme led, binational artist collaborative project addressing current regional issues affecting vulnerable populations along the U.S./Mexico Border, through practices that employ craft techniques, and are rooted in care, such as . trauma-informed ceramics in LGBTQ+ asylum shelters in Tijuana. Her work fosters community accountability and advocates for pro-migrant narratives through generative femme decolonial practices. Aguiñiga has shared the AMBOS Community Engagement Methodology in the Summit Reader.
