Welcome to Series 2 of 'A Village in Lockdown' from Port Sunlight Village Trust (PSVT), which documents the village's post-Covid recovery.
For our fourth episode, Chris – PSVT's Volunteer Manager – talks about the launch of 2020's Sunlighter of the Year Awards.
The awards were established by PSVT's Honorary President, Maggie Sparks, as part of Port Sunlight's 130th anniversary in 2018. The challenges of the coronavirus have demonstrated more than ever the public spirit that exists in and around the village, and these awards will enable us to celebrate the extraordinary people that make Port Sunlight such an inspiring place to live, work and visit.
Now in their third year, we are expanding the awards categories to recognise the incredible range of activity, contribution and commitment that takes place in and around the village.
