While browsing the local classifieds, I found this beautiful slab of ash. I immediately contacted the owner and went to pick it up. They had used it as a decorative headboard, but the shape, the way the grain flowed, and the live edge immediately gave me an idea.

Inspired by the work of Steve Klein, Michael Sankey, and Jens Ritter, I got to work designing and planning something I’d been thinking about for a long time.

I managed to finish and exhibit this instrument at the 2025 Guitar Summit, and I thoroughly enjoyed seeing visitors’ reactions to the instrument, as well as all the discussions we had around guitars and art.
