Most systems that give unilateral control to a single person tend to include some pretty steep penalties if that person abuses their power. So what if the president misbehaves? What are the systems in place to try and prevent presidential corruption? The answer is... they are few and far between. With Unitary Executive Theory, there is very little incentive for the president NOT to abuse power. Then there's the presidential pardon which greatly incentivizes loyalty to the president. So we have some more patch notes.
