This is a16mm film of the television broadcast of the 1966 Greatest Band in Dixie Contest where the Emma Sansom High School Band was the show band because they had won the contest three times in a row. The process used to preserve this telecast is known as Kinescope and was widely used to preserve television broadcasts in the early days of television.
