Kick off in style!
Running for over 150 years, Ellerslie's Boxing Day Races are an institution on Auckland's social calendar.
This event is the beginning of The New Zealand Herald Christmas Carnival and is always a magnificent day of high fashion, entertainment, socialising and premier thoroughbred racing.
Breathe in the excitement of the track as horses thunder past you, dress up and enter Viva Fashions in the Field, treat yourself to a day out in one of our premium reserved hospitality locations (see information below) or do it your way and just soak up the oncourse action from a spot on one of the public lawns or at Beach, Beats & BBQs in the Infield!

You can find ticketing and hospitality options below
Beach, Beats & BBQs (Infield) gates open at 9.30am
All other racecourse gates open at 10.00am
Hospitality options open at 11.30am
First race runs at 12.55pm
Last race runs at 6.50pm
All bars oncourse shut at 8.00pm
