Rockhounds from more than a dozen states came to Irvine, Ky., this week to look for Kentucky agate in the streams of Estill County. Irvine's 2015 Mountain Mushroom Festival this weekend will celebrate the wild morrel mushrooms that grow locally, as well as the agate found only in Estill and parts of five neighboring counties.
