This video does not contain footage removing or installing the throttle body, intake, hoses, covers, etc. If you're interested, it is covered here: • Replacing Valve Cover Gaskets: 1993 Lexus ...
Due to the oily condition of the old spark plug threads, it appears that the 21 year old valve cover gaskets were leaking oil into the spark plug valley, puddling up in the spark plug holes. While unscrewing the plugs, the oil drained into the holes drenching the plug threads. Oil collecting in the spark plug holes, indirectly due to a leaky valve cover gasket, is a well known issue with the Toyota 2JZ-GE engines. However, this can be easily remedied with new valve cover gaskets.
Notes:
Those with Automatic Transmissions will have a third cable (A/T Cable) that will need to be removed from the throttle body.
