Known for his vibrant Sesotho commentary and iconic catchphrase “Ho thaaata banna!”, Baba’s energy has lit up stadiums across Africa.
Originally from Welkom in the Free State, he’s one of the most recognisable voices in the game , bringing passion, personality, and pure love for football to every match.
Even after facing major health challenges including a leg amputation in 2022/23, Baba continues to inspire through his initiative Nayi le Voice, mentoring young commentators from townships and informal communities.
From AFCON to the FIFA World Cup his voice has carried the spirit of the game, proving that true passion never fades.
