In my opinion, a ring of steps is a crucial piece of equipment for saddle hunting! Being able to walk 360 degrees around the tree allows you to use the tree in order to stay concealed and mask your movements. I also believe that they tremendously help with the comfort during extended sits compared to a saddle platform.
