Sleeping Beauty is a classical ballet with music by the Russian composer Pyotr Ilyich Tchaikovsky and choreography by Marius Petipa. It tells the story of Princess Aurora, who is cursed by the wicked fairy Carabosse to sleep for 100 years and can only be awakened by the kiss of a prince. Margot Fonteyn is widely regarded as one of the greatest interpreters of Aurora's role.
