Yesterday, I decided to revisit this thing with Tommy to get a better video of it. I originally recorded this back in October of 2018, and it did a short blast before the main test, which lead me to believe it's a nooner. We tried it on a random day last year to see if it would go at noon, but it never did, so at that point we assumed it was a fluke. A little after that, we saw on street view that it was gone in November of 2021, so we stopped by here soon after and saw that it was indeed taken down, so we were wondering if it had stopped working. Over the next few months, we occasionally stopped by this area just to see if it was by chance put back up, until one day, we spotted this siren back in its original spot. My guess is it was taken down for repairs.
Anyways, we decided to try it again to see if it was actually working, and as we were hoping, it fired up right at noon. Also, just like it did in 2018, it did a short blast before the county test, and we didn't hear any tones before the initial blast, so I think this is indeed a nooner. It seems like the bearings have worn a bit since 2018, as it's slightly lower pitched and it seems to wind down a little quicker, but in any case, I'm glad to see it back up and working. Enjoy!
