01-19-26 Temps got up to 72 degrees today. Bees were flying and bringing in Pollen, and Honey from my Winter feeding station. Checked both hives. Ergo Hive 2 is doing well, lots of young Foragers.
Lil' Hive 1 bottom board tray smelled like dead Bee's. I cracked open Lil'Hive to find a bunch of dead bees on the bottom screen. The bee's were clustering on three frames. The Queen looks OK, and was laying an egg when I pulled out her frame, not many eggs, or brood. Part 2 will show the rest of this clip. Coming soon will be my rescue actions to attempt to save the Lil' colony some small Hive Beetle Larvae was on the bottom tray that fell through after I cleaned out the dead Bees. I have a plan, hope to update this weekend if it's warm enough.
