If you think Little Roy Lewis is amazing now, you should have seen him decades ago. Here he is playing Foggy Mountain Breakdown at the Redgate Bluegrass Festival. I have isolated about one minute of this performance. A couple of times he played so hard that he got the stage bouncing and dislodged the microphones!!! He kept playing while they were being returned to their holders! The speed and accuracy of his notes is amazing.
This and other live performance videos from the Redgate Bluegrass Festival were recorded by Edward Wing. Edward asked me to digitize these Betamax tapes and upload them to social media where they could be shared with the world of Bluegrass.
The video quality of home cameras was not very good by today's standards. And yet we are provided these time-capsules back to over 45 years ago. The audio quality is actually good.
