Welcome to episode fourteen of the Keith Richards Micawber Telecaster replica build.
In this episode I describe the process of sanding and polishing a Nitrocellulose lacquer guitar finish.
This Swamp Ash guitar body was grain filled and painted with a combination of butterscotch blonde and then clear nitro lacquer about four weeks before this video was filmed. Once cured it was wet sanded with 600 through to 1200 grit wet and dry paper until a perfectly flat finish was achieved and then the body was polished with Farecla G3 compound.
