Texas City Dike Wade Fishing for Speckled Trout

In this fishing adventure, my son and I hit the water at sunrise for a wade fishing session along the iconic Texas City Dike. Armed with live shrimp under a popping cork, one of the most effective setups for speckled trout on the Texas coast, we set out to see what the morning bite had in store. The conditions were just right, and the trout were hungry! Nothing beats the thrill of hooking up at first light, especially when you're sharing the experience with family.
