🌺 Hibiscus V Grafting: 3 Hybrid Blooms on 1 Plant! 🌸
In this video, we show you how to do Hibiscus V grafting to grow 3 different hybrid Hibiscus blooms on a single plant 🌺! Using the V grafting technique, we graft three unique Hibiscus varieties onto one plant for a stunning display of multiple blooms 🌸.
🔹 How we do it: Step-by-step Easy guide
1. Select the branch and cut it ✂️: Choose a healthy branch from the Hibiscus variety you want to graft onto the mother plant. Cut it from the parent plant.
2. Remove leaves for better grafting 🌱: Removing leaves from the cutting helps reduce water loss and focuses the plant's energy on grafting success.
3. Cut the branch in a V shape for grafting 🔪: Cutting the branch in a V shape helps it fit snugly into the mother plant's cut section, promoting better graft union.
4. Cut the mother plant, remove leaves & buds 🌿: Prepare the mother plant by cutting a section where the graft will be placed. Removing leaves and buds nearby helps the plant focus on healing and graft integration.
5. Slice the mother plant for grafting 🔄: Make a corresponding cut on the mother plant that matches the V shape of the grafting branch for a secure fit.
6. Insert the V-cut branch into the mother plant 🌀: Place the V-cut branch into the sliced section of the mother plant, ensuring a snug fit.
7. Tie with grafting tape to secure 🪢: Use grafting tape to hold the grafted branch in place on the mother plant until it heals.
8. Cover with a plastic cover for humidity 🌿: Covering the graft with a plastic cover creates a humid microclimate that promotes graft healing and success.
9. Keep in indirect sunlight ☀️: Indirect sunlight helps reduce stress on the grafted plant while it heals.
10. Water if required 💧: Water the plant as needed, taking care not to overwater which could harm the graft.
11. Wait for three weeks... keep observing 🔍: After grafting, wait about three weeks and keep an eye on the graft for signs of success like new growth.
💚 General care tips:
Keep the grafted plant in a humid environment 🌿: Helps with graft healing.
Monitor for new growth 🌱: Check for signs of successful grafting like new leaves or blooms.
Provide adequate sunlight and water 🌸: Balance is key for the grafted plant's growth.
