Members of fire station 35 in Los Feliz of Los Angeles demonstrate a litter basket drill. The apparatus is a 2006 American Lafrance LTI Truck with rope roller attachment. The litter basket is used to remove injured or trapped persons from locations where other methods of rescue would be impractical, such as hillside problems, upper levels of structures, and excavation sites.
