"Europe's last pogrom". After student protests in early 1968 shook Poland's communist regime to its core, First Secretary Władysław Gomułka blamed Poland's tiny remnant Jewish population. The subsequent 'anti-Zionist' campaign resulted in most of Poland's small Jewish population being forced to leave the country. This is a shortened version of Wladyslaw Gomulka's speech at the 1968 party congress.
