[ ] Courmayeur to la fouly
-took bus from courmayeur to Val ferret. Planned to take the bus just to the Bonatti trailhead but a local suggested we go to the very end since we had a long day ahead of us! No regrets there but we would do the part we missed in the future.
Don’t miss the breakfast at Bouton D’Or! It’s one of the bests!
Also Don’t miss the La Peule salad at Alpage De La Peule! It was amazing !! So fresh and the dressing was delicious too!
Awesome views this day, we had a little sprinkle shower at lunch and in La Fouly but it was light and passed quickly.
We had high expectations for Gite De La Fouly accommodation but it wasn’t our absolute favorite. The staff was nice enough but i think since we didn’t understand each other we couldn’t have good chats but that wasn’t a big deal. We just, I guess expected more because we had heard such high praises of there. Don’t get us wrong, it was nice. The place was clean, the people that run it are also nice and make a good home cooked vegetarian dinner. We just felt that the feeling everyone described of the place we didn’t get. It may also be because we LOVED our accommodation the night before so much. I heard great things about Bouton D’OR and we felt it lived up to the hype so we hoped for the same here. All in all, we would stay here again. The place was very very clean and cute with nice views from the porch.
