HIGHLIGHT:- All People’s Congress (APC) National Publicity Secretary Alhaji Sidi Yayah Tunis has criticized the Political Parties Regulation Commission (PPRC) for imposing a NLE 120,000 fine on the party without prior engagement. The penalty followed what the commission described as an “inflammatory” remark made by the APC’s Falaba District Chairman.
Tunis said the party first learned of the video in question through the PPRC’s public notice, arguing that the commission should have consulted the APC before issuing the fine.
He added that the party’s response would likely have been different had the commission drawn their attention to the footage before announcing the decision.
