If you are over fifty you no doubt will experience some ageism during your job search. What are some of the strategies you can employ to combat ageism? Explore strategies including online learning, technology, research, negotiation, and presentation skills. What you say and how you come across will be just as important as the skills you bring to the table.
We will also discuss deciding your next step, such as working part-time, continuing to work full-time, start a consulting business, volunteer on a non-profit board and other options.
Amy is a career coach with over thirty years of work experience in various fields including nonprofits, finance, engineering, economics and academia. For the last nine years she has been a career coach for private clients and several outplacement companies including GetFive, The White Hawk Group and Careerminds. Amy has presented webinars for The New York Public Library, Scarsdale Adult Center, Greater Philadelphia Careers, Middlesex County government and Monmouth County government.
