Chalcedony, Agates, Jasper, Petrified Wood, all found in one day on one Rockhounding Adventure in one area we discovered for the first time. Come along with with us as we explore, have fun, find great specimens and one extra beautiful chalcedony/agate/quartz crystal combo. In this video we discuss the following topics: How agates and jaspers are formed; Rockhounding for beginners; Rockhounding in Nevada; Rockhounding in Utah; and tips on how to find good Rockhounding locations. But that's not all!
Rockhounding is about more than just finding good rocks. It's also about enjoying the experience, getting out into the great outdoors, having good times with friends, and letting your mind wander and wonder. In this video we did this by sharing poetry. We sit around the roaring campfire and quote perhaps the most famous of all Robert Service's poems: The Cremation of Sam McGee. We thought this poem was most fitting as Rockhounds know what it's like to brave the bitter cold or blistering heat or other challenges, all in pursuit of that one rock. Robert service captures that passion in his many poems chronicling the Yukon/Alaskan Gold Rush.
We hope you enjoyed coming along on this Adventure of Shadow. Shadow and I certainly enjoyed having you. We hope you like, subscribe, and join on us future Adventures.
