Goat Creek Trail is a 37.3 kilometer long trail located near Banff, Alberta, Canada that features a river and is rated as difficult. The trail offers a number of activity options and is best used from June until October. Temp was - 18 C & with windchill it was close to - 23 C hence very cold but when you start walking you generate heat so doesn't feel that cold. We were bundled up & had snow shoes on. The place was very scenic with the sound of the creek water flowing creating autonomous sensory meridian response (ASMR). We started at the trailhead at late in the afternoon & walked for about an hour & then turned back because it was getting dark but if you keep on going then it takes you to Banff. It was very energy consuming since the snow was very soft to walk on so advisable to take some refreshments with you & do the hike in a group as opposed to going solo since there are Kyotes & Wolves in the area, there are bears as well but they hibernate in winter. After the hike we went to Banff & had dinner at a restaurant & then afterwards to the hot springs where we enjoyed a nice, messaging & relaxing hot bath. The water temp at hot springs was at +39 c & the air temp was -27 c with clear night skies full of stars & moon. The mountain peaks along with the pine trees shining in the moonlight presented a beautiful scenic view.
