So my last video I updated was completing expert level, which I finally was able to do after a few hours of playing on stream. It felt like a huge accomplishment and I was ready to take on the next challenge: LEGENDARY DIFFICULTY!
This was such a pain in the butt. I did it off stream because I've started coming down with a cold and it hurts to talk, so SORRY ABOUT THE CONSTANT SNIFFLES AND COUGHING!!
There was so much trial and error being applied to this game. I'd only reached the last section maybe 3-4 times before completing it. The crazy thing was battlenet was down so when a squad came together, and we did a solid first run, it was probably in our best interest to try to keep at it rather than parting ways.I was only in a call with tracer. Because of server issues, we weren't able to voice chat as a team and had to play it off of an early game plan and of course, trial and error.
Some of the things I learned:
Capture points
----------------------------------------
-Just survive the first point: don't try to over extend
-Second point: have tracer go behind the spawn around 40%, it seems to stop more spawns from appearing (usually an eradicator and a few normal omnics do but it's not over-pouring with them) and have rein stand in the front attack or shielding and mercy and torb switching off from helping tracer and rein
:Third point: have torb place his turret and hang out on the stairs, it helped less spawns from over-flooding the cathedral and the turret helps you when omnics come through the side hallway
Defending the payload
----------------------------------------
-Have Rein hit the small ones on the payload and tracer really focus on the elites (eradicators bastions) Tracers can easily dash behind the eradicators and destroy their left arm to kill the shield making them an easy target to burst down
-Tracer doesn't have to waste time or bullets on the big balls (hehe) because rein can just shield the impact or charge it away when the explosion animation begins and the payload takes no dmg as well as Rein
-It's usually a good idea for rein to go behind the bastion and charge it into the payload before it can set up. The bastion can only start hitting in it's specific spot and it's usually dead before it can go back to the spot. If you're unable to prep it, you can charge it away and shield when it gets back and by that time it's usually low and tracer can finish it off
Current glitch (?)
----------------------------------------
-So everyone kept mentioning a glitch to avoid the moving the payload section
-Basically Tracer sprints to the end (we sent her out with 10 seconds left in defending the payload) and she hangs out there and for some reason no spawns come out
-If you don't want to do this, feel free to avoid that and best of luck moving the payload!
-Sometimes if she doesn't get there fast enough, a big ball and a tank bastion will appear when your next challenge starts. Try to play back and kill those before moving in on the Orisa
Last section:
----------------------------------------
-Really focus on killing the sitting bastions: THERE ARE 4
-Avoid killing the first Orisa and just go for the bastion on the right
-Make your way down the halls killing the eradicators and Omnics to the stairs with cover and kill the second Bastion
-Keep on the sideline and then charge/kill the very end Bastion
-Make your way across kill the last Bastion and eradicators sitting there
-When you hear/start dealing with the tank bastions, STAT FALLING BACK!! It's a lot of dmg to take and your Rein shield really need to take in the dmg from just the Bastion because he bursts it down pretty quicky ( I BELIEVE THERE ARE 2 OR 3 TANK BASTIONS)
-Then focus the first the first Orisa and make your way down again and try to kill the remaining Orisas.
-Try to really play around the Rein shield, it would be a huge help to be in voice com so your Rein can warn you about a shield breakage
Extra tips
----------------------------------------
-I prioritized my mercy ult for multiple deaths or Rein when things got crazy
-With Rein up, if someone dies, you're able to revive someone behind the shield. If he's dead, it's just too hard to get to people who die in bad spots and you'll most likely go down with them
BEST OF LUCK ON THE BATTLEFIELD!! Hope this guide helped! If you tried the strats we used, please let me know how they worked out.
