“Does HoYo hate the Part 2 characters?”

We are almost 2 years into the lifecycle of Honkai Impact 3rd Part 2. While, in the beginning, HoYocerse was pumping out a lot of new characters to set up the Part 2 story and introduce the cast of Mars, after a certain point, people have noticed that they stopped releasing new characters and started focusing on bringing back old characters that are not directly related to the story.

Ba Dum Kiana, Sushang, and most recently Elysia, are all prime examples of this. Some people are upset about this and feel like HoYo is backtracking on their initial commitment to Part 2 due to its “failure” to attract new players and revenue decline, just to “nostalgia bait” people into coming back to the game.

And while I agree partially with some of the sentiment that people have, I also have my own perspective on this that I want to share with you today. So, let’s get right into the video!
