EP - 4 Chandigarh to Morni Hills - Hill station| Morni Fort, Tikkar Lake | Shri Nada Sahib Gurudwara

This is the last episode of our “Chandigarh - Kurukshetra & Ambala series. In this video you will see that we explored places to visit and things to do in Chandigarh, Panchkula and then in evening proceeded towards Morni hills.

Breakfast in Mohali - We started our day in the morning with “Pandit Ji Kachori Wale” Sec 54. We had “Aloo - Poori “ & Chole in the breakfast.

We enjoyed the Taste of the food here.

Chandi Mata Mandir - After this, we reached at the “Chandi Mata Mandir”. We had darshan of Mata Chandi Ji here & this temple is also a Siddh Peeth.

Pinjore Garden - Then we travelled around 7 km & reached at the Pinjore Garden known as “Yadavindra Garden”. This garden was created in the 17th Century by architect Nawab Fidai Khan.

The Architecture & design of the Pinjore was great & beautiful.

There is also a Haryana Tourism Hotel in the Pinjore Garden where you can stay.

Lunch at Panchkula - We had our Lunch at the “Apna Vaishno Dhaba” at Panchkula Sector 10. We had “Dal Makhani & Paneer Lababdar in the Lunch. Overall the taste was good at this restaurant.

Lunch Cost - Dal Makhani - Rs 170
Paneer Lababdar - Rs 230

Japanese Garden - After lunch, we visited the well-maintained “Japanese Garden”

Sec 15D Market - Then, we headed towards Chandigarh Sec 15d market & we had “Momo” at the Chinese Market along with vegetable soup.

Hotel in Morni Hills - We travelled around 40 km from Chandigarh & late evening we reached Morni Hills. We stayed at Haryana Tourism Property - “Hotel Mountain Quail”

Tariff - Rs 2,799 for Double Occupancy (Deluxe Rooms)

Overall, this property was decent in terms of stay.

Next Day - 3rd Sept

Morni Fort - In the morning we visited the Morni Fort, now converted into a Museum. This museum was built by the king of Sirmaur & named this fort on his wife Morni.

Here we learn about the animals & flora, and fauna of this area.


Tikkar Taal Lake - Then we visited the “Tikkar Lake”. It’s a beautiful natural lake surrounded by lush greenery. Here you can enjoy Boating as well at the lake.

Paidal Boat Charges - Rs 300

Shri Nada Sahib Gurudwara - Then we travelled around 1 hour & visited the historical “Shri Nada Sahib Gurudwara”. We had darshan in the gurudwara & learn about the history of this Place.
