അസാധാരണ ജീവിതകഥ

ഹിന്ദുമതവിശ്വാസ പ്രകാരം ശിവ ഭഗവാന്റെ വാസസ്ഥലമാണ് കൈലാസ പർവതം.
വേദങ്ങളിലും ആദികാവ്യമായ രാമായണത്തിലും പരാമർശിച്ചിട്ടുള്ള ഈ ദിവ്യപർവതം സ്വർഗത്തിലേക്കുള്ള കോവിണിപ്പടിയാണെന്നാണ് വിശ്വസിക്കപ്പെടുന്നത്.
ഹിന്ദു മതത്തിനൊപ്പം ബുദ്ധ ജൈന സിക്ക് മതങ്ങളും വിശുദ്ധ സ്ഥലമായി കണക്കാക്കുന്ന ഈ പർവതത്തിനു മുകളിലെത്തുക എന്നത് മനുഷ്യന് അപ്രാപ്യമായ കാര്യമായി ഇപ്പോഴും കണക്കാക്കപ്പെടുന്നു.
ഇതിനായി ശ്രമിച്ച ഒരുപാട് പർവതാരോഹകർക്ക് പാതി വഴിയിൽ ശ്രമം ഉപേക്ഷിച്ചു മടങ്ങേണ്ടി വന്നു.

8848 മീറ്റർ ഉയരമുള്ള എവറസ്റ്റ് കൊടുമുടി ‌കീഴടക്കിയവരുടെ എണ്ണം ആറായിരത്തിലേറെ വരും.
എന്നാൽ 6638 മീറ്റർ മാത്രം ഉയരമുള്ള കൈലാസം ഇതുവരെ കയറിയത് ഒരേയൊരാൾ മാത്രമാണ്.

പതിനൊന്നാം നൂറ്റാണ്ടിൽ ടിബറ്റിൽ ജീവിച്ച താന്ത്രിക ബുദ്ധമത ആചാര്യൻ മിലരേപയാണ് ആ ഒരാൾ.
കൈലാസ മഹാപർവതത്തിനു മുകളിലെത്തിയ ആധുനിക കാലത്തെ ഏക മനുഷ്യനാണ് മിലരേപയെന്ന് ടിബറ്റൻ ജനങ്ങൾ കരുlgന്നു.
ടിബറ്റൻ ബുദ്ധമത ചരിത്രത്തിലെ ഏറ്റവും വലിയ ആത്മീയ ഗുരുക്കന്മാരിൽ ഒരാളായ മിലരേപയുടെ കഥയാണ് ഇന്ന് നമ്മള്‍ പറയുന്നത്.
