The dreaded 5th place spot. So many iconic queens of RuPaul's Drag Race have fallen prey. From Latrice Royale, to Katya, to BenDeLaCreme (almost twice!), a plethora of the most beloved and fan favorite queens have placed 5th in their respective seasons. Is this just a coincidence, or is there something more....sinister looming beneath the surface...?
In this video, I'll break down every season of Drag Race, and weed out which queens have fallen victim to the curse, and which one just happened to end up in this placement. Then, I'll break down some theories about why it happens so often and give some final thoughts on why this phenomena happens so often on Drag Race and it's international franchises.
