Part II continues the journey through central Peru.
After an accident forced us to change both driver and vehicle, the expedition moved on under growing pressure. Long days on the road, high-altitude birding, and unpredictable conditions tested both our plans and our endurance.

We searched remote habitats for some of Peru’s most elusive species, recorded rare vocalizations, and experienced both missed targets and unexpected rewards. As fatigue set in and one teammate had to leave, the journey became quieter, harder, and more personal.

This is Part II of a journey where persistence mattered more than comfort.
