In its affidavit filed in the Supreme Court on this issue, the Election Commission has leveled serious allegations against Mamata Banerjee. The Commission says that the Chief Minister made inflammatory speeches and created an atmosphere of fear among the people through press conferences with the aim of sabotaging the SIR process. She has also been accused of spreading misleading and false information.
