🌱 We are honored to welcome Ustadha Reem Shaikh back to Pathways for her two-part series, “Why Are We Here? Our Purpose in Life”. At some point, every believer asks: What is my purpose? In this series, we’ll explore the purpose of a Muslim’s life through both the individual and communal lens. We’ll discuss how Islam offers clarity about why we are here, what it means to live with intention, and how grounding ourselves in purpose can transform the way we move through each day.
🗣️ Ustadha Reem completed the memorization of the Qur'an at age seven and studied Arabic in Egypt. She earned a BA in Islamic Studies from Qatar University and an MTS from Harvard University, where she also served as the Muslim Chaplain at Boston University. Additionally, Ustadha Reem holds ijazat in Qur'anic recitations and has taught at Guidance College. Currently, she is pursuing her PhD in Islamic Law at UT Austin.
