This is a short introduction video about the location of Parlington and two of the most notable architectural landmarks, the Almshouses, a neo-Gothic extravaganza created by George Fowler Jones and built in the 1840s and the famous Triumphal Arch which commemorates the victory in the revolutionary war of the American colonialists against the British State. The inscription on the arch states: "Liberty in N. America Triumphant MDCCLXXXIII"
