"Mira and the Little Goat"
In a quiet village tucked between green hills and golden fields, there lived a baby girl named Mira. She had big curious eyes, soft curls like spring clouds, and a laugh that could melt even the coldest morning.
Mira wasn’t walking yet, but she’d crawl faster than the wind when she heard the sound of tiny hooves outside her door.
Because every morning, without fail, came her best friend — a baby goat named Tinku.
Tinku wasn’t like the other goats in the village. He was born on the same day as Mira, just minutes apart. The villagers used to joke, “They must’ve come from the same star.”
Tinku had floppy ears, a little white patch on his nose, and a habit of chewing on Mira’s blanket — which she never seemed to mind. When Mira cried, Tinku would nudge her with his head until she giggled again. When Tinku got lost, Mira would wave her arms and call out in babbling baby talk — and somehow, he’d always come running.
Their favorite time was just after sunrise, when Mira’s mother would lay out a soft mat in the courtyard. Mira would sit with her chubby legs wobbling, and Tinku would curl up right beside her, resting his head in her lap. Together, they’d watch the birds fly overhead, and sometimes, Mira would offer Tinku a bite of her biscuit — or even her favorite toy.
And when it was nap time, the two would fall asleep just like that — the baby girl and the goat child — their hearts beating in a quiet rhythm only true friends share.
As they grew, so did their bond. And though the world would change around them, one thing stayed the same:
A baby girl and her goat, wrapped in the purest kind of love.
