A group of canoe sailors from the UK took part in the Semaine du Golfe Morbihan in Brittany, May 26th to June 1st, 2025. This wonderful festival was attended by about 1,300 boats of all shapes and sizes and around 300,000 spectators. Twenty to thirty miles of sailing was undertaken by the flotillas over each of the six days, making about 130 miles in total. The routes were designed to exploit the exciting tidal flows in and out of the Golfe Morbihan, heading towards the entrance on the outgoing tide and returning on the incoming flows. Each of the ports visited put on food and musical entertainment for the enjoyment of both sailors and visitors.
